Title V - Trinidad State Junior College

Trinidad State Junior College (TSJC), established in 1925 (the oldest two-year college in Colorado), is a comprehensive, rural HSI community college. TSJC has a student-to-faculty ration of 20/1. The fall 2004 headcount for the college is 1,991 students, almost 41% of which are Hispanic.

The TSJC service area is 14,364 square miles, including two counties in New Mexico. A single pass over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains allows access to the San Luis Valley where the TSJC Valley Campus and Adams State College is located. There are more than 35 high schools in this far flung service area.
